** Franklin Electric has upgarded the S-Series Pumps to incorporate a PSC (Permanent Split Capacitor) motor to replace the previous induction motor. By making this change, they eliminated the oil-filled motor housing which was required to cool and lubricate the previous motor. Also, they completely tooled all components while maintaining the original pump size and pump performance characteristics.

Little Giant S1200PT-20 Direct Drive Pump provides quiet operation and trouble-free use in freshwater, saltwater, or chlorinated. Use this direct drive pump submerged or in open air below water level for ponds, water gardens, medium to large fountains, water displays, waterfalls, streams, aeration, hydroponics, and in hot water applications up to 110 °F (38 °C).
